The Underdogs vs The Bill Collector
Elegante Leasing Ltd. is suing producer Damon Thomas, 1/2 of the Underdogs for 3 whips he leased in ‘07. Elegante claims Thomas defaulted on his payments and owed them nearly $500k! Its quite possible that the person who D appointed to handle his car-notes was slippin, betta get that in check homey! I’m not yet rich enough to condone the poor financial management, but this man produces DOPE records, makes major paper, and smashed Kim Kardashian’s sweet buns for 4 years before Ray & Reggie came and wore her out. The top feels so much better than the bottom!

Where is his business manager? Who leases 3 luxury vehicles at the same time? Not to sound too preachy but this is a good lesson for all the up and coming producers to stash your money for a rainy day. The publishing and performance checks are far and few between. And it’s even worse if you need to recoup on the huge advance from your deal!
